Saturday, April 07, 2007
Here are some pics taken during a day tour out of Glasgow for a family of five.
First is image looking towards the burn/water supply at Glengoyne Distillery.
This is a view from Stirling Castle looking south.
Here is a pic some Scottish architecture-ceiling of Great Hall at Stirling Castle
Here is a replica of a medieval table in the Great Hall at Stirling Castle
Another view of the ceiling at Stirling Castle
A view from Stirling Castle looking towards the Wallace Monument and the Ochills
Entrance to Stirling Castle-exceptionally sunny for time of year.
We had lunch at Lake of Menteith Hotel. This is a view of the boat collecting passengers for Inchmaholm Priory. Well worth a visit if you have the time.
View from boat trip on Loch Katrine. This shows remains of a Clearance Village.
Another view from the boat trip-not bad!
Here is a view of the steamship Sir Walter Scott. It was undergoing trials on the day and not taking passengers.
Happy family shot at Glengoyne Distillery. The Distillery guide was excellent.
Here is the affable Distillery guide. She likes her 'wee dram'!
