This evening I am presenting an image of a memorial stone from Glasgow's Eastwood Old Cemetery.
It records the Halliday family including the wife of Alexander Halliday, Mary Cowan who died Feb 6th 1931 age 75 years.
Cowan can be a Hebrew/Jewish name but more likely in this case to be a derivative of McOwen, an Irish/Scots name meaning son of Ewan/Owen.
